This is an experimental piece of film that I made partially inspired by one of the creators I follow. This was a solo production with lighting, props camera work, editing and acting all done independently. My main focus was lighting as shooting it in such a dark environment made it challenging for my cameras sensor to pick up much detail. I settled on a single harsh light to pick on the jarring details of the story showing a blunt contrast not only on the characters face but in his backstory.
This was an experimental film I shot using my new camera and independently edited using DaVinci Resolve.. I created a concise shot-list before filming and had a very strong idea of what I wanted to create whilst filming. I planned in advance to shoot on a day with varying cloud cover but mostly sun and asked my actor to wear bright yellow and blue clothing to contrast with the sky and stark landscapes.

A work-in-progress film I shot with the BFI introduction to filmmaking course. My role consisted of focus pulling and camera work, setting up kit, as well as pre-production co-writing and shot listing. This film and day of shooting came at the end of the course in which I had the opportunity to talk to multiple industry professionals such as producers, directors and solo documentary filmmakers. The course has allowed me to explore all the roles within the film industry very thoroughly and given me an understanding of the work that goes into creating a film.
A short social media edit I worked on where I focused on snappy timing and cutting whilst finding the most appealing clips to make an easy viewing experience.
